Madison and Rob first met while working at the same company, PowerSchool, in downtown Roanoke. Rob was the software engineering manager and had been at the company for several years. Much to his delight, in October of 2018, Madison was hired to be a technical recruiter for the Roanoke office. They would say hello whenever they had the chance, but he was on the third floor and she was on the second so with the exception of a business lunch, they had little opportunity for interaction. Then due to her breaking her ankle two weeks into her new position, it wouldn’t be until March of 2019 until the two really got a chance to hang out. In March 2019, PowerSchool hosted a March Madness happy hour in the office where he was finally afforded the opportunity to really chat with her. Along with other coworkers, they headed directly across the street from their office to what was then Deschutes Brewery, now Olde Salem Brewing. Needless to say, they had an absolute blast and have been inseparable ever since… and so the love story began.

Both are passionate about craft cocktails, food, music and traveling. They even bought a camper where they continue to make memories and have more fun than any two people should be allowed to have together… even when working remotely across from one another on the tiny kitchen table for a month in Key West.

Rob proposed on April 20, 2024 at Boyd's Campground in Key West, FL where he surprised her by flying family in for the big event! Madison just thought they were getting ready to show them around the campground until Rob got down on one knee at the Tiki Lounge by the pool. The couple continued to celebrate the remainder of the vacation!
